ADDITIONAL INFORMATION and FaQ for Dog Walking

  • It is in the best interest of the pets, clients, and sitters to meet prior to any booked service. It helps you decide if we are the right fit for you and your animals. It helps your pets see us, smell us, and get a sense of who we are before we enter your home when you are away.

The meet and greet reduces the anxiety and uncertainty for everyone involved. It also ensures our safety as pet sitters. Please note that we do not enter the residence if it is occupied by humans while you are gone. It is also important to understand that we have the right to refuse service for people or pets that are not a good fit for us too.

  • For the safety of your pet, a separate health waiver will need to be signed prior to the administration of any medication. A list of prescribed medications, dosage, and the phone number for your veterinarian must also be supplied.

  • Cape May Whisker & Wag LLC requires all pets to have a current rabies vaccination for booking. As rabies is a zoonotic disease transmissible to humans, we prioritize the health and safety of our pet sitters.

In the event that an animal bites or scratches a sitter, the incident will be reported to the Cape May County Health Department. Per health department guidelines, vaccinated animals are typically required to undergo a 10-day quarantine. Unvaccinated animals, however, are subject to additional protocols as determined by the health department.

  • Routine Dog Walking and Drop In Visit s are offered a discounted rate when booked on a reoccurring basis.

  • We offer 20-minute, 30-minute, 45-minute, and 60-minute dog walks, depending on your dog's needs and your preferences.

  • Absolutely! We tailor our walks to your dog's age, energy level, and health. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll or a more energetic walk, we accommodate all dogs.
